Layon has adapted his award winning play The Girls Of Summer into a screenplay. An all-black female cast destined to change the lens of how black women are seen on screen.


"Set in 1945, Chicago, the coach of an all black female baseball team prepares them for an exhibition game against the Racine Belles, ( A League of Their Own) an all-white female team and champions of the AAGPBL (All American Girls Professional Baseball League) Two weeks before the game, the black coach goes missing. Racism and deceit are brought to light as this powerful drama unveils the truth beneath the surface."
