LAYON TO VIETNAM

Layon has started researching for his upcoming stage play, which he plans to debut in 2026. The play, tentatively titled BOYS OF THE BAMBOO, will depict the Vietnam War on stage.

The storyline follows five African American soldiers who are captured and held in a bamboo tent deep within the jungle. As they fight for survival and maintain their dignity, they develop an unbreakable bond, finding strength in their shared experiences and memories of home. This compelling play delves into themes of resilience, brotherhood, and the indomitable spirit of those who refuse to be defeated.
