WEBEIME swept the theatre awards at The Manhattan Midtown International Theater Festival in New York City.

OUTSTANDING OVERALL PRODUCTION OF A NEW PLAY
OUTSTANDING ENSEMBLE IN A PLAY
OUTSTANDING CHOREOGRAPHY
PRODUCERS AWARD

WEBEIME recently performed Off Broadway with the famous Negro Ensemble Company to standing ovations every night!

Since its founding in 1967, the NEC has produced more than two hundred new plays and provided a theatrical home for more than four thousand cast and crew members. Among its ranks have been some of the best black actors in television and film, including Denzel Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Louis Gossett Jr., Sherman Hemsley, and Phylicia Rashad just to name a few. The NEC is respected worldwide for its commitment to excellence, and has won dozens of honors and awards. While these accolades point to the larger success of the NEC, it has created something far greater. It has been a constant source and sustenance for black actors, directors, and writers as they have worked to break down walls of racial prejudice.

WEBEIME production team is in talks with producers to take the play to England.  The show returns to Los Angeles, and Sacramento in April 2010.

The BLACK GENTS of Hollywood

I wrote this little play not knowing how much it would affect men and women. People look at their lives everyday and never ask the question -- what's my purpose, what plan does God have for me, why am I here. In WEBEIME a man makes a horrible decision which causes him to be placed on death row. My father used to always tell me " the choices you make dictate the life you live" and I truly believe that. Can abuse whether its mental, physical,or sexual cause a rip in your life and cause you to do things, and think in a certain way. Many people think yes-- many people think no . A line from the play says " life is a careless whisper that we softly take for granted." In some ways we all do. Did you tell that person today who means so much to you that you love them. Everything is rush, rush, but you never know when that person will be gone. Losing both of my parents in 2005 to cancer has made me see life in a whole new perspective. I fear nothing. No obstacle is to major to conquer, no hill is to high to climb. WEBEIME explores that belief. " all we got is today ...right now. And I feel good - I feel grand--- I'm happy. ENJOY LIFE... EVERYDAY!!!
